# Credits and billing

> Where your credit balance lives, what spends it, and how to buy more.

Credits pay for the work Oneprofile does on your data: enrichment columns and AI agent columns. Everything else on a table, including formula columns, manual edits, and syncs, runs free.

## Where your balance lives

Click the credit balance in the top bar to open a popover showing how many **credits available** you have out of your plan's total, with the date your credits renew underneath. From there:

* **View usage** opens the full usage breakdown
* **Buy credits** (or **Upgrade** on a free workspace) starts the purchase flow
* **Manage plan** takes you to your plan settings

The same balance also appears under **Workspace balance** on the **Billing** and **Usage** pages, broken into **Available credits** and **Recurring credits**, and in **Settings** under **Plan & billing**, alongside your current plan and renewal date.

## What uses credits

Enrichment columns and AI agent columns spend credits when they run. For an enrichment column, Oneprofile checks multiple sources to fill each cell, and the credit cost reflects what that lookup takes. Formula columns, manual edits, and syncing from a connected tool never spend credits, no matter how many rows they touch.

<Tip>
  Before you run an enrichment or agent column, the dashboard shows the estimated credit total right on the run menu and next to the run button, so you know the cost before you commit to it.
</Tip>

## The Usage page

Open **Usage** from the credit balance popover or the **Billing** page to see where credits went. It has four tabs: **Overview**, **Tables**, **Tools**, and **Agents**.

**Overview** shows your total credits spent for the selected date range, with a toggle between a **Balance** chart and a **Spend** chart, plus the **Workspace balance** card.

**Tables**, **Tools**, and **Agents** break spend down by table, tool, or agent. Each row shows credits spent, any refunded, units processed, charges, and the average cost per unit, and expands to show the columns or accounts underneath it. Use **Apply filters** to change the date range, and **Export** to download the report as a CSV.

<Note>
  Credits never expire. Whatever you don't use in a period rolls forward, so nothing is lost by not spending it right away.
</Note>

## Buying credits

Click **Buy credits** to choose between two ways to add more:

* **Buy credits once** adds a one-time pack. Pick a preset amount or enter your own, and the dialog shows the price and your balance after the purchase before you confirm.
* **Buy credits every month** raises the credits your plan grants each month going forward, at the same rate per credit your plan already charges.

Buying a one-time pack requires a paid plan. On a free workspace, the purchase dialog points you to **Upgrade plan** first.

## Plans

Your plan sets how many credits you get each period and what they cost. In **Settings**, open **Plan & billing** to see your current plan, its status, credits per month, and renewal date, with **Manage plan** to change tiers and **Size your plan** to estimate what a different plan would cost for your usage. The dashboard is the source of truth for prices and plan names, since those can change.
