# Delete several columns in one call

> Delete a set of columns as ONE delete: dependents inside the batch never block it, which is what lets a whole column group — a fan-out's children depend on their parent — go in one request. Dependents outside the batch still block, or are repointed via `replace_with_column_id`. A group whose last member is deleted is dissolved. A POST rather than a DELETE because it carries a body.
